Walk to Cure Juvenile Diabetes

Join us for the 14th Annual Walk!
Saturday, May 5th, 2012

All proceeds benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

We will be walking 3.5 miles (out and back) on the lovely Endless Mountain Riding Trail. We'll meet in the Pump'n'Pantry parking lot (98 Grow Ave./Rt 706, Montrose PA). Parking details will be posted later - please do not park behind the Pump'n'Pantry building, as it will block their trucks. See a map here.

Why Walk?

Children with juvenile diabetes are insulin dependent for life. They must struggle to manage blood-sugar levels throughout each day. And the incidence of Type 1 diabetes is rising in those under 5 years of age (see story here).

Diabetes can kill! It can lead to devastating complications such as kidney failure, blindness, amputation, heart attack, and stroke.

Thanks to the generosity of family and friends like you, a cure is closer than ever. Last year we raised over $7,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Can we beat that this year?
